The Icebreaker will be held at the Royal Tropical Institute, commonly known as KIT. This landmark building is located next to Oosterpark.

Getting there
Travel & Parking
Parking in Amsterdam is limited and can be expensive. Neither venue can guarantee parking for conference participants. We strongly recommend travelling by public transport, taxi or bicycle.
If you travel by car, allow additional time to find a parking space. Amsterdam also offers Park and Ride facilities outside the city centre.
Marine Etablissement Amsterdam
There is no participant parking inside the military compound unless this has been arranged and confirmed in advance. Please use public transport or a nearby public parking facility.
Royal Tropical Institute — KIT
KIT is close to the Alexanderplein and Linnaeusstraat tram stops. General on-site parking is not available.

From Q-Park Oostpoort, KIT can be reached by tram 19. Accessible parking may be available by prior arrangement.
Military location
Security & Admission
The Marine Etablissement Amsterdam is an active military facility. Special security and admission requirements apply.
Please allow sufficient time, as the identity and security checks at the entrance may take some time.
- Valid original ID required. Carry your passport or national identity card throughout the visit. Photographs and photocopies will not be accepted.
- Confirmed speakers do not need to complete the guest registration. Their admission will be arranged by the organising team.
- The name on your identification document must match the name used during registration.
- Admission is personal and registration cannot be transferred without prior approval.
- Be prepared for an identity and security check at the entrance.
- The organisers and security personnel reserve the right to refuse entry to the premises when necessary for safety or security reasons.
- Follow all instructions from military security personnel and conference staff.
- Photographs will be taken by the conference organisers and a military photographer. If you would like a particular photograph, please ask the organising team.
- Remain within the designated conference areas and do not enter restricted buildings or zones.
- Never leave bags or personal belongings unattended.

If you have limited mobility, require accessible parking or need assistance entering either venue, please contact the organising team before the event. Some arrangements must be made in advance.
Assistance during the event
Every participant will receive a card containing the organiser’s contact details. Please keep this card with you throughout the event.
